Just want to share my pleasure in buying and installing a Townshend Seismic Isolation Platform. I have always admired the late Max Townshend and is ingenuity as an inventor and designer. My particular problem was I supposed self imposed. My hifi system as happily installed in the house taking up a LOT of the lounge much to the chagrin of my very patient and loving wife but I decided that she ought to have her lounge and space back so I moved my hifi to a large Log Cabin in the garden that up to now has housed my very large record collection. An excellent bamboo shelf had served my SME 10 turntable well in the lounge on a solid brick wall but moving it to the Log Cabin onto a 70mm thick tongue and groove wooden wall led to all sort of vibration transmission problems. Max's Seismic Isolation Platform to the rescue. I did struggle a little during installation - largely due to my male pig headedness at not reading instructions properly. Levelling was the issue - the SME 10 has two tonearms mounted and the motor is also at the back so the load is asymmetric - but I managed to sort that out  and the sound is amazing. Now thinking about my loudspeakers......
